Liz is a fantastic host gave us all of the info we needed for a lovely stay. The carriage was spotless with everything we needed for the weekend. Would definitely recommend a visit as the area is beautiful and has a lovely walk along the river.

Many hosts might describe their setting as idyllic, peaceful and relaxing, but few can offer you (Welsh weather permitting) a bed with a view of the Cosmos ! Liz is the most welcoming and proactive host – providing timely and detailed instructions at all stages of the booking, arrival and stay. It was our first visit to Mid-Wales, and we enjoyed visiting local towns and villages, even on the wet days! Liz’s local info guides provided excellent ‘insider tips’ for exploring the area and she made us feel part of the family on this stunning site. We highly recommend this host. For us, living in a large city, the stars are few and far between, but if you stay with Liz (& are lucky) you will be treated to the awe-inspiring magic of the Elan Valley Dark Skies Park.

Beautiful place to stay very quiet and peaceful Liz was so friendly and helpful our two dogs were made most welcome place was lovely and warm with heating in the evening it was great to have dark skies to see the stars place was spotless and comfortable will definitely visit again thank so much Liz

We had a great weekend away in the ‘carriage’. The setting was stunning with the River Wye right on the doorstep. The carriage was very well stocked and extremely comfortable. The shower block was spotlessly clean. The hosts were very welcoming and knowledgeable, Liz kindly met us on arrival to personally to explain everything….would definitely recommend.

I had a wonderful stay at this property while I was working at the Royal Welsh. Excellent location for the show and exactly as described. I had everything I needed and slept like a log! The surroundings are absolutely stunning and Liz was very responsive and helpful throughout my stay. I would definitely recommend and visit again.

Myself and a friend stayed at the Seville for 2 nights to support a friend who was competing in the welsh 2 day enduro…… We both had a lovely stay there, couldn’t of asked for more. Liz was very friendly, helpful and informative. Would absolutely stay there again!

Great place to stay if you enjoy bird watching and nature, only a field away from the river. We saw Tree Creepers, Pied Flycatcher, Kingfishers, Dippers, Mistle Trush, Coal Tit, Red Kite and Brown Trout just a couple of minutes walk from the cabin door.

Definition of a cosy place to stay. Loved the fire, gorgeous lamb neighbours and beautiful walk along the River. Star gazing was brilliant. We packed the kitchen sink but Liz provides everything you need crockery etc. Very friendly host. Will definitely be staying again although I did initially get lost but Liz to the rescue and rang me instantly. Thank you Liz.

Great stay, in a fantastic location. The accommodation was very cosy and had everything I needed and more. Not only was it the perfect spot to explore the Elan valley, but was set in beautiful surroundings with picturesque walks on the doorstep. Liz was so friendly and helpful, and available if needed. Can’t recommend enough and would love to return one day.

Great value for money and a lovely location to get away from it all. Plenty of walks nearby, along with hills, mountains, rivers, and forest areas to explore. The accommodation was immaculate, clean, well-equipped, and in good condition. The site is very quiet in the evening, and the bed comfortable. I’d have no hesitation staying here again and found Liz to be very outgoing and helpful.

We’ve just returned from our third visit to Rivervale this year. The site and setting are amazing with wonderful walks, countryside and views on your doorstep. On a clear night, the sky is a must see! Liz and Mo are very caring and efficient, yet leave you alone to enjoy your holiday. The static is clean and fully equipped with all your needs for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We’re looking forward to our next visit!

Liz met us at reception and walked us down to our accomodation, she even included a towel for our dog which we thought was a nice touch. Tea and coffee at hand when we arrived. Beautiful surroundings and she told us about the nearest walk and how to get there. The home itself was clean, tidy, with more storage space than I was expecting. Liz was there to meet us at reception on check-out and talked to us about the history of the site as well as some local history and folklore. Will be recommending this to others and we are highly likely to return ourselves!

We had a great stay in a beautiful location and Liz was very welcoming and fiendly. She explained all we needed to know and shared her local knowledge, including the walk down to the river. The television was good, so we enjoyed watching the Olympics and all the facilities were just right. The nearby Asda was very convenient.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at the railway carriage, it had everything we needed and was very comfortable. It’s in such a peaceful place, and we enjoyed sitting out on the decking to have dinner, with the sound of the river nearby. We only stayed the one night and Liz was very accommodating, emailing ahead before our stay to see if we needed anything and asking how we would like the beds set up. Caravan was spotlessly clean and everything we didn’t know we needed! Ie washing up liquid, liquid soap, toilet rolls, kitchen tea towel, scoured, bath and hand towels for each guest. The caravan itself was modern and far from basic, well furnished and very comfortable. Everything worked and we were able to relax straight away. Quiet setting with walks and fields nearby which would be good for dogs I imagine. Nice views. Check in was easy and hosts were lovely without being intrusive. Would definitely recommend and stay here again

The hut is gorgeous and comfortable and Liz was a wonderful host! The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. Morning was bird calls and the rush of the river nearby, and the little hut contained everything I needed for my short stay. Liz was so welcoming and made sure I knew how everything worked as well as all the local sites to see. In the evenings I made fires in the cute tiny wood stove and the hut got super warm and cosy. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely little cabin within a stones throw of a lovely walk along the River Wye. Basic but comfortable, and has everything you need for a relaxing couple of nights away. Easy drive to Hay, Brecon and other local towns

Just spent a delightful short break in a lovely clean caravan on this static site. Well stocked/equipped van. The sights are beautiful, with easy access to the scenic river behind the site. The location itself is calm and quiet but easily accessible via road. Everyone we had contact with were so friendly and courteous. There is loads to do and see in the area. Wonderful value for money.
Would always recommend. Will be going again!
