The Wye Valley Mid-Wales
The site is well established with 50 privately owned static caravans on a 7 acre site situated a short walk away from the beautiful and majestic River Wye which starts and runs 155 miles through Mid-Wales all the way to the Severn Estuary.
Rivervale Holidays is ideally situated here in Mid-Wales for all your holiday needs and to explore what Wales has to offer.

Dark Skies & Photography Holidays
Rivervale Holidays is nestled within the picturesque Wye Valley. We are just a few hundred meters from the river. You really can feel nature all around us. Where better to relax and unwind than here at Rivervale Holidays.
We have Dark Sky Park Status. Due to almost no light pollution you are able to view our solar system like you have never seen before. Very popular with Stargazers and Astro Photographers alike.
Bird Watching Holidays
If its a birdwatching holiday or nature holiday you’re after then Rivervale Holidays is a great retreat for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts alike, with an abundance of unique feathered friends both around the park or down by the river, there is plenty to keep you busy. A ‘must see’ and just 3 miles up the road is Gigrin Farm Red Kite Feeding Centre . The majestic Red Kite can be seen being fed every day all year round. (see website for feeding times as times vary in summer and winter). Whether you are a serious bird watcher, or just enjoy watching nature at its best, then Rivervale Holidays at Doldowlod Caravan Park is the place for you to come relax and unwind.
Dog Friendly Holidays
Rivervale Holidays is dog friendly, we allow well behaved pets in all of our self catering accommodation units (please see our holiday lets page for full details). We are ideally situated for amazing walks, on or off the beaten track, with your four legged friends.
Cycling Holidays
Bring your bike! Rivervale Holidays can offer self catering accommodation for you to enjoy your cycling holiday. Whether you choose to be the energetic off roader or the laid back, take in the scenery, easy rider, there are incredible cycle paths to be ridden as soon as you leave the park. Elan Valley being just four and a half miles away through some incredible country lanes. From off road mountain biking to green lanes and 100’s of miles of national cycle routes, you are spoilt for choice on or off road.
Walking Holidays
Rivervale Holidays offer self catering accommodation to base yourself for your walking holiday in Mid-Wales. It is one of the best places to take in the outstanding scenery at your own pace. Whether you hike, ramble, stroll or yomp, there are a multitude of country lanes, old by-ways and mountain trails to discover. If you find you have left some of your most favorite walking boots behind, do not worry Hill Walking & Outdoor Clothing just up the road in Rhayader, can sort you out.
